MY PHILOSOPHY

Change can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and even frightening — especially when it asks us to step outside of what feels familiar or comfortable. Yet change is also a natural part of growth, healing, and becoming who we are meant to be.
Think about a time in your life when you took a leap of faith and made a significant change. Was it easy? Perhaps you left a stable job to pursue a new career, became a parent for the first time, returned to school, ended a long-term relationship, focused on your health and wellness, or even made a small but meaningful change like cutting your hair after years of wearing it the same way. Whatever your experience may be, change can feel both terrifying and liberating at the same time.
Through both my personal experiences and my work supporting individuals through life transitions, I have learned that meaningful change happens when a person truly desires it for themselves. Change cannot be forced, rushed, or imposed by others. Instead, lasting transformation begins when we start believing that we are capable of change and worthy of the life we want to create.
My counselling approach is rooted in helping people build self-worth, self-compassion, and confidence as you navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, motherhood and postpartum changes, relationship difficulties, grief, burnout, identity shifts, or major life decisions, you do not have to move through it alone.
I believe that when we begin to see ourselves as worthy, resilient, and capable, healing becomes possible. That is often when life starts to feel a little lighter, clearer, and more hopeful.
If you are looking for counselling in Nanaimo, BC or virtual counselling across British Columbia, I would be honoured to support you through your journey of growth, healing, and change.
